Donation Regulations

Donations in Canadian or US dollars for mission purposes of all kinds shall be permitted. 

If a person would like to donate more than 2500 CHF a year, the FIGU Landesgruppe Canada is responsible to inquire about the financial capabilities/situation of the donator, i.e. we must contact the donator and check whether or not the donation will threaten the financial situation of the person in question. Under all circumstances it must be avoided that a person and/or his/her relatives get into trouble because money is donated to FIGU. In case of doubt the amount/donation will be returned.
For the printing of books, texts and materials, we are only permitted to receive donations up to the point where we have reached the cost price of a book/work or of the materials which are to be prepared. In other words, once we have reached the cost price needed for the publishing of a project we are not permitted to receive any further donations for that particular project.
Should your donation be oriented towards a specific book, text or material and the amount needed to publish that project has already been reached, your donation will be returned to you unless you stipulate on our donation form that we can apply the surplus donation money for our general mission-related purposes. (General mission-related purposes include the photocopying of free booklets/flyers, internet services, book storage, book insurance, office supplies, etc.)

Please note that our internal regulations / procedures prohibit members from accepting donations to their personal accounts.

Important! For Canadian Residents Only:

To make an Interac e-Transfer to FIGU-Landesgruppe Canada please send  it to our treasurer at the following email address: flcatreasurer@ca.figu.org  Please let us know the reason/purpose of the donation along with the e-transfer.
We are set up with an automatic deposit so that in most cases, you will be able to send your e-Transfer without needing to specify a question/answer (for most banking institutions). 

International Donations:

A popular method of transferring funds is using the service Wise. If you wish to use this service here are the necessary banking details for our account. Please note that we can only receive funds in CAD through this service. You will also need to let us know via email that you have sent us a donation and for how much.
